If you're in the market, it's time to consider a new tablet—there are discounts across the lineup right now (no need to wait for Sept. 1). Whether you want a compact iPad mini for travel, a new Pro to replace your laptop, or something in between, there’s a deal here for you.
For casual users: the 11th gen iPad
The entry-level iPad is the “no fuss, no stress” option. Now in an 11-inch size and running Apple’s A16 chip (the same one powering the iPhone 15), it’s quick enough for streaming, browsing, and school work. For frequent travelers: the iPad Mini
At just 8.3 inches, the iPad Mini is tiny but mighty, with the same A17 Pro chip found in the iPhone 15 Pro, making it faster than the base iPad despite its size. The compact design makes it great for reading on the couch, taking notes in class, or slipping into a bag for travel. Right now, you can get the 128GB model for $474, down from $499.
For professionals and creatives: the iPad Pro (M4, 256GB)
Apple’s iPad Pro is where the iPad stops being just a tablet and starts being a laptop alternative. Powered by the M4 chip, which debuted here before Apple’s own Macs, it’s fast, thin, and more visually stunning than any iPad before it. And right now, the 11-inch version is currently at its lowest price yet, according to price trackers, at $894.99. If you want the best performance in a compact form, this is it.
Apple’s flagship tablet, the 13-inch Pro, is also on sale at $1,165.80 from its usual $1,299. It’s got the same powerhouse M4 chip and OLED display as the 11-inch Pro but stretched across a massive screen that’s great for video editing, multitasking, media, or design. It’s also Apple’s thinnest device ever, at just 0.2 inches. You’ll pay a premium, but if you want your iPad to replace your laptop, this is the one to get.
